"Grief is my new moniker" should be their best result and it is. This second record, after "Bad books and empty pasts" released in 2007 on Rejuvenation/Denovali, recorded by Sylvain Biguet (COMITY, AS WE DRAW) mixed short and long tracks with very different tunes, from noise rock to post rock.
With multiple influences and various members side-projects (LES FRAGMENT DE LA NUIT, DO YOU COMPUTE, BRUME RETINA, TO THE HAPPY FEW, etc.), the REVOK music is indefinable but epitomized by a strong darkness and a brutal result.

"Grief is my new moniker" se devait être l'album de la maturité pour REVOK et c'est le cas. Ce second opus, après "Bad books and empty pasts" sorti en 2007 sur Rejuvenation/Denovali, produit par Sylvain Biguet (COMITY, AS WE DRAW) alterne morceaux longs et courts et titres aux ambiances très différentes, du noise rock au post rock.
Brouillant toujours les pistes avec leurs influences variées et les multiples projets parallèles de ses membres (LES FRAGMENT DE LA NUIT, DO YOU COMPUTE, BRUME RETINA, TO THE HAPPY FEW, etc.), REVOK accouche d'une musique non catalogable et personnifiée par une noirceur intense et une imminence brutale et épurée.
